The Legend

Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts began in 1971 with its first deluxe hotel in Singapore. James Hilton’s legendary novel Lost Horizon inspired the Shangri-La name. A tranquil haven in the mountains of Tibet, Shangri-La cast a spell on all who resided there.
